Project GreenPlot is an initiative of Connect the Plots, a not-for-profit that operates in the Corner Inlet area of South Gippsland, Victoria. We want to help as many households as we can to grow their own fresh food and feel the satisfaction that it can bring. We also love to gather together, help each other out and share the wisdom and ways of domestic food production.

Elizabeth Collins

Connect the Plots Founder &

Home Gardener

A life-long lover of gardening and homegrown cooking, Elizabeth saw the need for greater food security and social connectedness when the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

As a natural co-ordinator and collaborator, she wants to see urban agriculture become a bigger part of our lives, where more people can enjoy not only the food but the satisfaction of being part of something that serves the community and environment.

Nat Oudyn

Kitchen Garden Specialist &

Nat is well known and loved by many young children in the Corner Inlet area, after teaching the kitchen garden program at Foster Primary School for some years.

If getting your children on board in the garden is your aim, Nat will have some hints for you.

She has also spent time as a horticulturist at Healesville Sanctuary, so knows her natives - which are important to attract small pest-devouring birds to your vegie patch.

Silvia Cardona

Deep Creek Nursery

Silvia and her partner Paul are always busy with their stall at the local Farmer's and Craft Markets, advising shoppers and busily selling their seedlings and natives.

Silvia trained in horticulture and has created her business from small home garden beginnings to opening the nursery in 2019.

Deep Creek Nursery is just a few minutes out of Foster on the Boolarra-Foster Rd and is a delight to behold. Silvia's South American heritage is a big influence in the choice of colourful tapestries that adorn the walls of the renovated dairy building that is now their store.

They are gentle folk and will be happy to advise you.
